The flag of the United States has a rich
significance for our family. The thirteen star flag depicted here is a representation of
the "Hulbert Flag" that is purported to have been created by Theresa's ancestor
Captain John Hulbert, of the American Continental Army. The portrait is of Richard Gill Forrester, Keith's great grandfather, who raised
the first Federal flag to fly over the fallen Confederate Capital, in Richmond, VA. |
